Weathington Sworn in as Circuit Court Judge
A packed house filled the upstairs courtroom at the St. Clair County Courthouse to see longtime St. Clair County attorney Bill Weathington sworn in as the new circuit judge.
Outgoing circuit judge Jim Hill, before performing the ceremony, noted that the crowd is both a tribute and a challenge.
“Look out here (at the crowd),” Hill said to Weathington. “This is a reference of what people think of you. It’s a tribute.”
“It’s also a reference of what people expect from you as a judge.”
